Motion to Reveal
A Play of Light, Body, and Control
Studio Morgenlicht was invited to the WG-Festival in Bern. Check it out!
Our installation features our Lichtgestalt Projector, an interactive puzzle game and room+sound installation. As the festival unfolds, Motion to Reveal transforms the space into an interactive field of movement and light. Here, the body becomes the controller, shaping digital patterns in real time.
Playing with Control
At its core, Motion to Reveal is about the connection between play and control—how movement influences a digital environment. Festival guests step into a shifting geometry of light, experimenting with gestures to uncover hidden structures. Some will instinctively adapt, others will refine their motions, searching for the perfect interaction to unlock the next transformation.
A Full-Room Experience
Beyond the projection, the entire space follows this concept. Reflective foil distorts and amplifies the visuals, extending the interaction beyond the screen. Ambient lighting shifts with movement, immersing participants in a reactive atmosphere. A visual puzzle on a laptop offers a different way to engage—an introspective contrast to the physical play of the main installation. Whether moving actively or observing from a distance, each visitor becomes part of the system, influencing the evolving composition.
Finding connection
Like the festival itself—a convergence of live music, artistic expression, and digital experimentation—Motion to Reveal thrives on interaction. It invites guests to explore the relationship between body and machine, between action and response.
How much control do we really have? The answer unfolds through motion.
